Meet the woman behind ReplyCash
Karen Njuguna founded ReplyCash in 2019 after nearly a decade working across Kenya's fintech and mobile money industry, including senior roles building digital payment products used by millions of M-Pesa customers. She saw first-hand how mobile money had transformed how Kenyans move cash — but noticed a gap: there was no simple, trustworthy way for everyday Kenyans to find safe messaging jobs online and get paid the same way they already banked, through M-Pesa.
With a background in mobile financial systems, product design, and micro-work platforms across East Africa, Karen built ReplyCash around three principles: no gatekeeping (no CV, no laptop, no experience required), instant trust (money paid the moment it's earned), and real opportunity (legitimate reply tasks from real partner businesses, not empty promises).
Under her leadership, ReplyCash has grown from a small Nairobi pilot to a platform used by over 9,600 Kenyans nationwide, with more than KSh 6.4M paid out directly to M-Pesa wallets.
